Cooler Master is well known for its line of aluminium cases, which hark back to the golden ages of modding, where a case window was cutting edge and Orac3 was but a twinkle in a young Aussie's eye.
(Ah, the nostalgia - Ed.)
However, Cooler Master's craft doesn't stop there. The company also makes a fairly solid line of steel cases. The iTower is the latest in this line of mid-sized ATX chasses, and the case has some interesting twists. It's a steel-based case that sports a funky aluminium front in the style of the Wavemaster.
The two-tone black and silver finish is fairly plain, but also understatedly stylish. The front is dominated by a black mid-section which houses the front-mounted ports and provides airflow for the drive bays underneath.
Here you can see a close up of the ports - there are the standard power and reset buttons, as well as firewire, four USB, microphone and headphones and power and HDD LEDs.
As mentioned, the door is made of aluminium and has a perforated section to allow for some airflow. You can see that the front ports are attached to the case itself, not the door. Unfortunately, the door only hooks on one way - so if you have your PC to your left, you'll find it slightly annoying.
